BUS SHOP HOP!!! It was a great success. Everyone had a great time. Lots of door prizes were given out and lunch was fabulous. I was told that the bus ride was the best - no driving. Well I am staying home for a while. No shows until October. Then I am off to White Springs which is about 2 hours north of Leesburg. It will be the first time I have done this show and from what I heard it is a good show and I get to see a new city in the State of Florida .

Our oldest grandson Drayden and his AAU Baseball Team, The Valrico Bullets, are back from Cooperstown and the team was rated 16 th place out of 102 teams. The entire team received rings and had their pictures taken. Drayden along with his family went to the Baseball Hall of Frame and saw a baseball which belonged to a relative of Nancy W. He also has a dye cast of his hand holding a baseball. This past week his team was at a tournament at the Disney Sports Complex. They finished in 1 st Place and for that they have an all expense paid trip to Memphis , TN to play in a tournament which will be televised on the MLB Network. The bad part of that trip is that it is the first week of school. Mom is not happy with the time frame but dad and Gram mie and Papa say “It's a once in a lifetime trip let him go”. In July he goes to Tennessee for a week with a church group. Our youngest Grandson Kieran is now an Orange Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He said he isn't going to do Tae Kwon Do anymore. Mom had something to say about that. Kieran's favorite color is orange and he has an orange belt and he is happy. I guess his logic is I like orange and I have an orange belt I am happy. (Happy Birthday My Butterfly)

ACCU-CUT Machine Rental: Do you have fabric you would like to cut into strips and make your own Jelly roll from your fabrics? Are you making a Bargello and need to cut 2” or 2 1/2 strips? Do you have fabrics you would like to cut into different shapes like butterflies, leaves or stems and would like an easier way to cut the fabrics? A Quilter’s Dream has the Accu-Cut machine you can rent to cut your fabrics. The fee is $10.00 per hour when you cut your fabric or we can cut it for you for $12.00 per hour. Call for more details.

Bras Without Boundaries: The Central Florida Health Alliance Foundation is looking for creative and artistic people to design bras! The “Bras Without Boundaries” entries will help raise money to provide free mammograms to underinsured women and men in our community.

Be colorful, creative & unique. Deadline for entries is Sept. 1, 2009 . Entry Requirements: All bras must be covered inside and out, including the straps. When complete, each bra should be tacked to a padded hanger for display purposes. Bra themes should be original and creative but not offensive in nature. Entry fees are $10 per entry.

Entry forms are available at A Quilter's Dream, 719 W. Main Street , Leesburg All bras become the property of the Alliance Foundation. Entries will be judged by the public during the month long exhibition at the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

Project Linus: Project Linus has donated quilts to the children of the bus accident in Ocala. The last of the quilts were picked up on Friday and are to be delivered this week to the students. One student is still in Shands. Watch for those school buses. Our future is on those buses.

Parking: Just a reminder, the VA clinic is not open on the weekend so you can park on the street in front of the VA Clinic.

New Service: I now have an Accu Cut and have the dies to cut Hearts, Butterflies, Stars, Strips, and more. I will have pre cut hearts, leaves stems and others. You could also choose the fabric you would like to cut into strips and I will cut it for you.
